Hi I'm David

I live and work in the North West of the UK and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a university graduate and currently work in the Aerospace industry as a draughtsman. Over the years I have developed other skills which include photography & web design. A few years ago, my wife & I discovered the great outdoors and we now love to go hike & run and anything in-between.

Why I am a Mormon

The reason I'm a Mormon (a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints) is because I really do believe that this church teaches the full gospel of Jesus Christ. I have studied & lived it's teachings and felt peace & joy as I have done so, so I can easily conclude that it is right.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by actively participating in the church but more importantly I live my faith by trying to do what Jesus would do. It's not easy at times and I often forget who I represent. I hope that those I associate with can see in my behaviour and character that I am a follower of Him.

What is Mormonism? OR What do Mormons believe?

Mormonism is a Christian faith. We believe Jesus Christ leads the church through a Prophet just like he did in biblical times. Because we believe God has chosen a prophet today we also believe that He continues to speak to us (the windows of heaven are not closed). Mormons also believe that God didn't just speak to the people in Jerusalem in ancient times but other civilisations. The Book of Mormon (named after one of the prophets) is a record, just like the Bible, of the teachings & experiences of a people that lived in ancient America. We believe in and actively try to live principles many people will be families with such as: Faith, Repentance, Baptism, Confirmation, Prayer, Priesthood Authority, Sabbath Day Observance, Temple Worship, Sacrament, Fasting, Tithing, Sacrifice, Service, Morality, Marriage, Eternal Families, Education, Work Ethic, abstinence from addictive substances and many more.
