Hi I'm Dave.

I'm from California, but I live in Utah now with my wife and five kids.

About Me

Almost everything I love to do is at home. I like to read, watch movies, cook, play video and card games, and keep up on current events, especially politics. It's plenty busy with a wife and five kids, but we're adding onto our house to make room for everyone. My wife and I are both Marines, which is how we first met.

Why I am a Mormon

Most people probably assume that I'm a Mormon because I grew up that way, and my ancestors have all been Mormon for 4+ generations. But I still had to find out for myself, and thanks to a friend at BYU, I came to know it was true. A mission strengthened that for me, and the more I come to understand how much my Heavenly Father loves me, the more sense it all makes.

How I live my faith

My new calling involves ward finances. I love it! My experience at work has made this an assignment where I can really contribute.

Does The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints endorse political parties?

The Mormon Church does not endorse political parties. They have stated that good men and women are found in all political parties, and that we should prayerfully select candidates that meet our standards. I'm very politically active--I chaired our city's Planning Commission for a year, and now I'm serving a temporary slot on the City Council. Many of our neighbors come to us for advice around election time. I try to ensure that I fairly represent candidates from all parties so they can make the best selection. Show more Show less
