Hi I'm Rachel

I am a Mormon.

About Me

hello! i am a former 7th grade teacher that is now a stay-at-home mom of a little boy and an air force wife. i love spending time with my family, church, cooking, baking, sewing, exercising, reading, and meeting new people.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into this church, to parents that have always been active. Throughout my life, I've had the blessing of always knowing that I am a child of God and my older brother Jesus Christ, not only died for me, but atoned for all my sins as well. This means that if I remember to repent for the sins and grievances that I commit in this life, with a loving heart, then I can return to live with my Father in Heaven and all my family when I die. This is a great comfort to me because I love my family and I am so happy that I will never have to be parted from them when this life is over. Families are forever! I know that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ love me and they want me to return to them one day, to live with them. I don't want to disappoint them. That can only be done through obedience to the commandments, service, patience, and enduring to the end. What wonderful news we have to share! For the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is a perfect church, but it does not have perfect members! I will always make mistakes, no matter how hard I try, but Heavenly Father and Jesus still love me for my efforts and my repentance. I challenge you to read "The Book of Mormon" and prayer unceasingly to our Father in Heaven. Only through hard work and patience have I recieved the witness from the Holy Ghost that this church is true. And now, it's your turn!

How I live my faith

I live my faith each and everyday by praying and reading my scriptures. I serve in our church by helping the families in our area (Fort Meade), by organizing playgroups, babysitting children for my friends, and preparing and giving meals to those in need. I spend time with my friends, trying to make sure that their needs are met. The best way that I know to live my faith is by teaching my son about right and wrong, and by being friends with those I meet. Showing kindness and love to everyone that I come across can help many people.

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

Never! We believe that all of the people that have lived on this earth, that currently live on this earth, and the people that will live on this earth are all children of Heavenly Father! We strive to serve everyone in our community for the better. We are not a commune. We live in this world, like everyone else, and we try to help everyone as much as we can. Show more Show less
