Hi I'm Sarah

I'm a wife, mother, daughter, sister, friend... I know who I am, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife and a mother of 2 amazing kids! I love being creative, and making unexpected things beautiful, and bring things back to their full potential. I love being a mom and discovering the "out of the mouths of babes" moments with my children. I love the gospel, and am so thankful for my own testimony.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know who I am. I know that I am a daughter of a loving Heavenly Father, and that He sent His Son to atone for all of our sins. I am a Mormon because I know that because Heavenly Father loves us so much that He wants us to be with Him and has provided a way through his plan, and through covenants. I am so grateful for the covenants that I have made in the temple, and through the waters of baptism. I know that I have a loving brother, Jesus Christ, who knows me intimately and loves me infinitely. I know that Joseph Smith is a prophet of God. I know for a surety that we have a living prophet on the earth today, Thomas S. Monson. I love the Book of Mormon, I know that it is true, and that as we study it we become more like our Savior. I love being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints!

How I live my faith

I live my faith, faithfully. I love the gospel! I love learning more about the gospel and applying it to my life. I hope that I am an example to my children of how living the gospel brings happiness, and that they will see my testimony through my actions and treatment of others. In my Ward, I serve as the Young Women's President. I love being with the youth! I love seeing their testimonies grow and strengthen, it helps mine to also grow and be strengthened. I love to see how the youth apply the spirit as they go to school, make decisions, and learn who they are as daughters of Heavenly Father. Heavenly Father loves ALL His children so much and it is amazing to feel that love in portion for His precious daughters.

Why are Mormons asked to donate 10% of their income to their Church?

Our donation is called tithing. Heavenly Father has given us all that we have, we pay tithing to show gratitude and love. We pay it happily knowing that everything given to us is a gift. Our tithing is used in building temples, church buildings, and sustaining the Church. Tithing is also another way we show our obedience to the Lord, and a way in which He blesses us. Tithing is an eternal principle and was not instigated by the church but has been around since the time of Adam, and is mentioned several times in the Old Testament and New Testament of the Bible. I know the Lord has blessed my family through our payment of tithes and I am grateful for the opportunity to pay tithes. Show more Show less

What are Mormon Temples used for?

Temples are a place of peace and love where worthy and clean members of the church go to make covenants with the Lord that help us to understand His plan for us, and to help us to become more like Him and better understand how to return to be with Him. In the temple we make sacred covenants, in which we promise certain things to the Lord. We do not decide what we are going to promise, and we do not decide what the Lord will promise us, the promises are the same for all His children, and it is through our faithfulness that He blesses us. Once we have gone to the temple for ourselves we can return for others. This is called "work for the dead". Throughout time not all of God's children have had the opportunity to hear the gospel and this is the means that provides every person who has ever lived the opportunity to receive those saving ordinances such as baptism. Heavenly Father loves us all and wants the same promises available to all his children. Faithful people all over the world are researching the past and finding who their ancestors are. Members of the Church use that information and submit their names to the temples. Members of the church who are worthy then go to the temple to perform these sacred ordinances for those who have passed on by going in their name as a proxy. Through this work the ordinances of the temple will be available to all of God's children, and they can still use their agency to decide to accept or reject the work that has been done for them. I love going to the temple and doing this work. I love knowing that people will have the same opportunities and blessings that I have, and I love being able to share that work and testimony with them. Show more Show less

In whom should we have faith?

We should have faith in Jesus Christ. Faith to me is more than believing, it is an action. My faith in Jesus Christ means that I will act in accordance to what He would have me do. Show more Show less
