Hi I'm Christina

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am in my early 30's and currently a medical assistant at a physician's office. I was born and raised in South Carolina. Outside of a high school trip to Montreal Canada and a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to the Idaho Pocatello Mission - I have lived in South Carolina my entire life. I love to work with people! I learned to play the piano when I was 7 and began studying the cello when I was 12. I have recently picked up archery as a new hobby and am enjoying that. I like to learns new things, meet new people and enjoy living on the coast.

Why I am a Mormon

My mother and father are converts to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. They met the missionaries in the 70's and my father was touched by the message of love and repentance in the Book of Mormon. He decided to be baptized and my mother joined him in that decision. Because of their decision to listen to the missionaries message and pray to Heavenly Father for answers to their questions, I am blessed to be a part of the Savior's Church. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints gives me a peace of mind that can't be found elsewhere. When I read the Book of Mormon it reminds me of the great love our Heavenly Father has for all His children in every land. The Book of Mormon teaches me principles of the Savior's gospel that cultivate light and happiness in my life. I have become a nicer person because of His teachings. It has given me direction and purpose and I understand my role as a daughter of God. Even during times of distress I can feel the love God has for me and know that He is watchful and always near me. Our Heavenly Father loves us greatly and I am grateful to have learned these things at Church.

How I live my faith

I have always enjoyed church activites and currently teach high school students in an early morning scripture study program called Seminary. As we study the scriptures we can see how the Lord has always blessed His people when they would listen to His words. Working with the youth of the Mormon Church is an amazing experience.

How can I know Mormonism is true?

Prayer is the key to understanding. If we sincerely pray to our Heavenly Father, He will answer our prayers and confirm in our hearts the truth of all things. Sometimes answers come quickly and sometimes we need to search more and continue to pray but the answers will always come. Our Heavenly Father wants us to ask Him. Show more Show less

Do you really believe there is a prophet like Moses alive today?

Yes! There is a prophet today and how grateful I am that the Lord's Church is one of order. The same structure the Lord's church had in biblical times is the structure we have today with Prophets and Apostles. Jesus Christ is the head of this Church and Thomas S. Monson is the prophet today. President Monson offers counsel to members of the Church and reminds us of who we are and what we can do to become more like the Savior, Jesus Christ. He encourages us to continually be kind and serve those around us. Show more Show less
