Hi I'm Trevor.

I served as a Full Time Missionary in the Italy Milan Mission. I'm a Friend. I'm a Son. I'm an Athlete. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a convert from South Florida. I have a fourth dan black belt in Tae Kwon Do but nothing is better than taking runs with my wife. I am a University of Miami alumnus with degrees in Management Science and Finance. After serving a two year mission in the Italy Milan Mission, I married the woman who has proven to be the greatest blessing of my life. She served in the same mission so we have a lot to talk about. I have two brothers and one sister who are individually talented and I hope they too will have Mormon.org profiles. I am the only member of the church in my family and find great joy in teaching all about the Gospel of Jesus Christ whenever the opportunity arises.

Why I am a Mormon

If you have felt the Holy Ghost testify to you the truth about any matter, you can understand why I am a Mormon. I investigated the church for 5-6 months during which time I had experiences which changed my life and very passive view of religion in general. The moment I opened the Book of Mormon the Spirit rushed throughout my body; with each scripture I read, questions I had had all my life were suddenly answered. At times I felt almost immobile due to the strength of the the Spirit. I was baptized as the first member in my family on April 5, 2009 and have not looked back since. The blessings and peace of mind that come from pure love and knowledge of truth are immeasurable and unmatched.

How I live my faith

It is never easy to live your faith until you've tried. I start every morning studying the scriptures; I have a strong testimony that scripture study is one of the most basic and vital sources of our spiritual strength throughout the day. One of the most important aspects in my interactions throughout the day is being a witness of Christ, in all my actions and all my deeds. I try to serve everyone I meet in one way or another, this is a constant goal.

Who wrote the Book of Mormon?

The Book of Mormon was written by ancient prophets who came to the Americas from Jerusalem around 2600 years ago. Mormon and his son Moroni are largely responsible for its abridgment. It ends at about 421 A.D. with the Book of Moroni. Contrary to the beliefs of many, the Book of Mormon was not written by Joseph Smith. The plates upon which the book was written were delivered to him by the angel Moroni to be translated. The Book of Mormon is the word of God. Show more Show less

What is being a Mormon like?

Life is hard. This is no secret. There are days when there is simply too much to do, we cannot accomplish all our tasks, we cannot face looming and inevitable situations. This is why the Atonement of Jesus Christ not only makes available to us triumph over death, but triumph over all things that may cause us strife. Our burdens can be made light I we give up our pride and let him help us. The best way I know how to do this is by following the commandments he has given us. They are gifts given in mercy. Many may view the commandments we observe and find them to be burdensome but I invite all to prove the word of God; that he will make our burdens light. Following the commandments has brought the greatest happiness to my life and has changed the way I view all trials. Show more Show less
