Hi I'm Joshua

I am a father and a veteran. I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

About Me

I am a veteran of the US Army and served in Operation Iraqi Freedom when the war started. I also was a police officer and now I am a dispatcher for a major transit agency here in Washington state. I work full-time and I am a full-time student and a very proud father and husband. I am majoring in Information Technology and hope to complete my degree next year. In my free time, I spend time with my family and have regular date nights with my wife. I also love playing with computers and video games. I also read books and love music.

Why I am a Mormon

There was something I was missing in my life and becoming closer to Jesus Christ in my own way during my service in Iraq left me wondering were I should go. I "bounced" around to many churches and have felt that each one was missing something critical although I was not sure, at the time, what that was. It wasn't until I met my future wife that I was re-introduced to the gospel and The Book of Mormon that I realized that the church filled in those missing pieces. I allowed the missionaries to visit me and with an open heart and contrite spirit I accepted their message and was baptized and confirmed a member of the church. I was tested and tried immediately following my conversion but maintained my commitment and the commandments and have been blessed with a loving wife and children and I am now sealed to my family for time and all eternity!

How I live my faith

I am a Ward Missionary and I am a Home Teacher. As a Ward Missionary, I am responsible for helping the full-time missionaries with meeting people who are investigating the church and for those less-active who live in our area or anywhere. As a Home Teacher, I am responsible for certain families in looking after and caring for them and teaching them gospel truths to strengthen their testimonies.
