Hi I'm Rosemary

I'm a Mormon. I grew up in Texas. I was the second child of seven children.

About Me

My husband and I have five daughter and have fifteen grandchildren. I play the piano and the accordian. I love to cook, garden, read, make quilts and write. I was a educator for 32 years. I taught 4th grade and middle school for 24 years. Then after getting my doctoral degree I taught Professional Development and designed Educational Workshop for Teachers. I am retired but help parents who home school. My main goal at the present is to finish another Family History Book. I do genealogy and teach others to use computers. I worked on a project to help input the Ellis Island Records into digital form.

Why I am a Mormon

I love being a Mormon. I especially love the attitude of the Youth who know what they believe and are so willing to stand up to for the Values that we teach in our church such as modesty, chastisty and basic beliefs in our Savior, Jesus Christ. I know the friends that my children and grandchildren have share the same values and are not afraid to stand up when challenged about their beliefs in the Word of Wisdom or Family Values. I love the idea that Mormon Families are teaching thier children "a work ethic" and that things like honesty and integrity are important. Most of all, I am a Mormon because I enjoy being around people who really live what they believe. Mormons keep thier promises, they help each other, they teach their families to live the commandments that are found in the Old Testament and most of all they are willing to serve when others need help.

How I live my faith

As a Mormon, I play the piano for the Ladies Organization that serves the women in the church. I also sing in the church choir and enjoy learning new songs. I have served as a teacher for the younger children and helped with the Scouting Program. I have helped with Road Shows where the youth put on mini skits and compete in dramatice activities. I've also helped with Girls Camp Activities.
