Hi I'm Emmily Gayle Raley Hood

I am originally from Texas and a recent college graduate. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I spend most of my time chasing my kids around. I love watching my kids in their sports activities, and spending time with my family. I recently graduated from college with a Bachelor's in Business Management. I like to crochet, and research genealogy.

Why I am a Mormon

It took quite a while, almost four years for me to see the truth in the gospel. It was like the biggest light bulb went off in my head and I knew that this was the true church. From that moment on, I have not waivered in my faith. And it has been like a fire burning in me to read and learn everything I can. I just can't seem to learn enough, and I hope this feeling never ends.

How I live my faith

My children are all presidents of their respective group. President of the Laurels, President of the Teachers, and President of the Deacons. My husband is the President of Young Mens, and I am a primary teacher and a helper in the relief society. The church is very important to me and I want to make sure my family and I do our best to help with everything we can.

How can I know Mormonism is true?

Emmily Gayle Raley Hood
For me, knowing that Mormonism is true was very important. It took me almost four years to understand, and completely come to terms with what I know and now beleive to be true. Reading the Book of Mormon, listening to the teachings of the Missionaries, and praying and asking God for help in understanding these things is how I know and how you can know that Mormonism is true.
