Hi I'm Nathan Schmoe

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I consider myself to be a creative person, but by trade I am an actor, producer and director. I am a married father of two and my family is the most important thing in the world to me. Everything I do relates to bringing about more enrichment to our collective experience here on Earth. My interests are vast and I will limit them for obvious reasons. I enjoy basketball, puppets, football, theatre, martial arts, travel, photography and movies. I have an extremely eclectic level of interest in most aspects of my life. Which actually makes life a little complicated because I am always in pursuit of various little "projects". I was trained as an actor in the early years of my life, but have sacrificed those pursuits for more attainable goals. The life of a starving artist is not always conducive to family life. I try to be well rounded and open minded in all that I do.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, but that is not why I am a member today. I spent many years debating who I am and what I believe. Ultimately, it is the Book of Mormon which lead me to believe and follow Jesus Christ. Every Christian based faith will tell you that the Bible is true and it is and so is the Book of Mormon. I came to that knowledge the same way I came to know that the Bible was true, by reading it and asking God if it was right. I take assurance knowing that I did not come to that decision lightly. I truly wanted to know if it was the word of God. I asked Heavenly Father if it was true and He gave me His answer. I now walk every day trying my best to live a life that would honor and reflect the pattern Jesus Christ established.

How I live my faith

I endeavor to always live my faith with balance, integrity and passion. Maintaining a balance in my life between that which is spiritual and that which is temporal is essential in providing for the needs of my own living soul and the members of my family. Mind, body, spirit and heart. All of which need equal attention for me to maintain a healthy relationship with my Heavenly Father. I have heard that integrity is doing the right thing when no one is looking. Obedience is not subject to the time of day, my location in the world, or what mood I happen to be in. Though balance is important to me it is ultimately my heart which is my personal strength. I love to inspire and to be inspired. My passion for the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the love that I feel in my heart will ultimately serve me well in all of my endeavors to serve the Lord.
