Hi I'm Tanner

I'm a husband, father of 5 and a navy pilot. I have twins with cerebral palsy and multiple disabilities. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a husband and father of five and a navy pilot. I graduated from the United States Naval Academy. I have twins who have cerebral palsy and special needs. Helping and serving them is a blessing in our lives. Our family loves to play games and sing songs. We also love to go swimming together at the pool or the beach. My dad was killed in a car accident when I was a young man. That event changed my life. I was raised in Alabama and Georgia and love the south! And I am a Mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

I know that God lives. I know that Jesus is His son and suffered and died that we can repent of our sins and be made clean and all be resurrected and live with them again. I grew up as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Before he was killed in a car accident, my dad never met the woman that would become my wife and the mother of our 5 children. Once he told me that if I would do 3 things, things would almost always work out. He said: 1. Do what is right. 2. Do your very best. 3. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. I've tested his counsel and he was right. As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, I have faith and hope that through the blessings of the gospel, families can be together forever. My dad will be resurrected just as Jesus was - and I have the chance to see him again and let him meet my wife and his precious grandchildren. Our family also looks forward to the blessings of the resurrection for our twins who have cerebral palsy and other multiple disabilities. I know that because of Jesus' resurrection, they will be blessed with a perfect body without the pains and struggles that they now experience. I know that if we truly accept the sacrifice and suffering of our Savior Jesus Christ that we can be made clean by exercising faith and repentance and we can receive a fulness of joy.

How I live my faith

I am involved in church and help others with geneology and family history. As a family, we read the holy scriptures every night just before saying our family prayer and going to bed. Every week on Monday night we have "family night" where we play games, sing songs, and have a lesson to help us remember the teachings of Jesus. As a member of the military, I try to live my life as an example of the kind of person that my Heavenly Father wants me to be.
