Hi I'm Ron

I'm a painter and a missionary, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have the most complicated heritage... Bolivia, Spain, Italy, and probably some other mixed in. I was born In Los Angeles, CA (Sylmar to be exact) but raised for most of my childhood at over 12,000 feet above sea level, in La Paz, Bolivia. I was privileged to learn valuable principles directly from my grandparents. These pirnciples have served as a guide for many important decisions I have, and am still taking. I recently returned from serving a full time mission in the city of brotherly love: Philadelphia, PA. I truly loved every second of it, so much that I have already returned to visit once since, and another trip planned this summer! I am a first generation college student in my family. To ba able to graduate will be a huge accomplishment for the family, and I feel honored to be a part of it. I'm also a painter. I love to express my feelings on a blank canvas. I believe that there are some things that you just cannot express in words, and that is where the paintbrush comes in. I feel that everyone is unique, and i'm thankful for that. The differences in each of us is what makes life fun.

Why I am a Mormon

i think that from my childhood in South America I've learned the importance of a solid foundation pertaining my beliefs. I strongly feel that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day saints offers that.

How I live my faith

I think we all know what's good and what's not, the challenge is to apply it to our daily lives. I make decisions every minute of my life, and by living the commandments and honoring my values I believe that I can have the guidance of the holy ghost. Living on standards and striving to be worthy is probably one of the hardest things I've ever done, but it's also the most rewarding. I do want to say, thought, that just because i follow those things (mentioned above) doesn't mean that I don't have fun. On the contrary, there's always something to do with friends and family almost every day of the week.

Why do you have 12 Apostles? They were just meant to be around for the time of Jesus Christ, not to be replaced with new apostles.

As I think back on the content of the Bible, when Jesus Christ was on earth, he established things that He wanted in His church. The pattern was established by Him. I'm sure there are reasons, but my belief is based on whether the restoration of the gospel really did happen, or not, because if it didn't, then we follow an uninspired pattern in the church. The fullness of the gospel, and the truths that it implies - including specificthings like the 12 apostles - are all based on that one thing: the restoration. Show more Show less
