Hi I'm Duane

I grew up in Washington and Utah. I do remodeling for restaurants. I am a happy Mormon!

About Me

I am a father of 4 married children and a grandfather of 4. I enjoy running, reading, movies and sports of all kinds. I love family and my country.

Why I am a Mormon

I was blessed with wonderful parents who taught me at an early age to love the Savior and His Gospel. I chose to serve the Lord on a two year mission to Argentina for my church when I was 19 years old. I know that this is the Savior's Church here on earth. The only way we can return and live with the Savior again is through His Atonement. My membership in the Mormon church has given me the opportunity to know and understand the Savior's plan of happiness for each of us. I know where I came from before birth, why I'm here on earth and where I will be going after I die. Can you answers those questions? I would love to talk to you about the answers. The answers will change your life forever. I am proud and grateful to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (The Mormons)

How I live my faith

I have many opportunities to serve in my community, neighborhood and my local church unit. Through my membership in the LDS Church, I have the chance to work in various charitable service organizations such as helping to can food for the needy and working to distribute food and clothing to the less fortunate. On Sundays I teach an adult class Sunday School Class. I gain great strength through prayer and reading the Lord's scriptures each day. I also enjoy learning about my ancestors by doing family history research. My greatest joy comes through living the way the Savior would want me to live.

Why don’t Mormons drink coffee, tea, or alcohol? What is the Mormon Church’s law of health and proper diet?

We know these substances aren't good for our bodies. We have received counsel from our prophets (leaders) to abstain from these things and we believe that our prophets are called of God to reveal His will to us. Show more Show less
