Hi I'm Mark

I'm a Mormon. And I love my life and my family and my liberty in the country I live in and my God .

About Me

I always try to choose the right, and try to keep the commandments of God but not just waiting for myself or my family to be commanded, but also actively praying and doing and listening for revelation from my Father in Heaven. I accept Jesus Christ as my savior and savior of the whole people of this world. I support things that are good and praiseworthy. I find when life is the toughest God will listen to my prayers as I pray in the name of Jesus Christ. I love to read the book of Mormon as another testament to be used as a companion to the Bible and hold it esteem regard that Joseph Smith is a prophet of God and has restored in it's fullness the Church of Jesus Christ in this the latter days of the earth. I enjoy going to the Temple, listening to general conference, studying to teach others, learning how to keep the spirit, making my home a special place where the spirit is felt. cooking recipes with my wife, My two cats Louie and Sebastian, playing backgammon with my neighbor John, listening to music and watching movies. I also live with a disability that keeps me in a battle with my body, mind and spirit. I love to share the happy news God has saved me and he can you too.

Why I am a Mormon

I believe with all my heart that God has called a prophet. I also believe that Joseph Smith translated the Book of Mormon for the good of this people that live today. I strive to be like the savior Kind and Loving and want to serve my fellow man. I feel that it is not just another religion it helps people understand the fullness of the gospel. It is named after Christ because it is his he is the leader he communes with prophets and Apostles in this day it is Holy. It is sacred and it is true. God knows us by name we are his spirit children he wants to make us strong he wants us to make good choices so someday we can return to him, with the sealing power families covenant with God to be together for eternity.

How I live my faith

Everyday I pray to God the Father and ask him to answer life's question's, give thanks for my family and the countless blessings he has given all of us. I try to live my life honoring and obeying my Mother and Father in all things righteous because it is a commandment by God. I want to be closer to him so I keep his commandments and repent when I make a mistake. I keep the sabbath day Holy by going to church meetings and spending time with family. I abstain from loud music and only think of what Christ would want me to do on Sunday. I strive to understand others and know they are also God's children and I try to treat them the way I would want to be treated. I go to people's homes to share the messages presented by the leaders in the church. I go with a companion and talk and make friends with the people I get to serve. I also abstain from drugs and alcohol, tobacco, and keep the Lord's law of health The word of wisdom contained in D&C Section 89 I love my family and friends dearly and I try to help them understand God's love for them. I Teach lessons from prophets in my Elders quorum. I am a newly assigned den leader for cub scouts. and I love visiting and teaching with the missionaries.

Why don’t Mormons have paid clergy?

2 Kings Chapter 5 in the old testament http://www.lds.org/scriptures/ot/2-kgs/5.9?lang=eng#8 Naaman, the Syrian, comes to Elisha the prophet to be healed of leprosy He rejects the prophet’s instruction at first but relents and dips himself in the Jordan seven times. he is healed Elisha refuses to accept a reward. Gehazi a servant accepts a gift from Naaman and is cursed with leprosy. this is the summary of what happens in this chapter of the old testament before each chapter in the standard works of the church there is a summary before every chapter to help us understand what is being taught. I like this one because it teaches two things the healing power of the priesthood and not to take any money for serving as prophet and on down to everyone who wishes to serve when called upon by the Lord. I pray we should never be greedy and think of ourselves when giving service but to have charity in our heart and be able ourselves to receive the spiritual blessings being taught. Show more Show less
