Hi I'm Gibran

I grew up in Honduras. I love missionary work. I'm a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

About Me

I am a son, a brother, a father, and a husband. I am a Software Engineer, a Web Developer, a Senior Programmer Analyst, a Senior Applications Developer, a Software Architect, and an Entrepreneur. I love to watch the Premier League, American Idol, the Food Network, and Movies like Harry Potter, Narnia, Troy Legacy, etc.

Why I am a Mormon

I became a member of this wonderful Church in March 1996 in Queens, NYC because I had a burning desire to follow Jesus Christ and because I became humble enough to exercise faith in the restore gospel of Jesus Christ by repenting, getting baptize, and receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost. I am thankful for missionary work and for the empowerment and guidance I receive from the scriptures, the local and the general authorities.

How I live my faith

I strive to magnify the assignments and callings given to me, specially home teaching. I strive to always focus on Christ and doing the things he would do (this can be a challenge sometimes, but is worth it).

Who was Joseph Smith?

Gibran
Joseph Smith Junior is the prophet of the restoration chosen by God to begin the marvelous work and wonder, that is, to restore the Church of Jesus Christ with prophets and apostles. He dedicated his life in doing God's will and he sacrifice everything for it. Joseph Smith Junior began the work that the Church continues to do today, that is, Proclaim the restore Gospel (the Gathering of the House of Israel), Perfect the Saints (the Atonement), Redeem the Dead (Temple and family history work), and Welfare (service).
