Hi I'm Becky

I grew up in Texas and Russia. I love being a mother to my 6 kids. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a married mother with 6 energetic kids. I love walking, reading, baking, music, family, and friends.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a Mormon family and always attended church. When I was 8 I was baptized. It was my decision and I had a testimony at that time that the things I had been taught were true. I have always believed in Jesus Christ and in the Gospel, but there have been many times in my life where I have had opportunites to gain a testimony of a particular aspect or to strengthen my testimony of something. So, the longer I live, the more I believe, the more ingrained it becomes upon my heart. I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God and restored the true church to the earth. I know that we are led by a prophet and that the priesthood is the power of God on earth. I know that the plan of Salvation is the true way and the path to return to Heavenly Father's presence and also to have the most fulfilling mortal existence possible. I know that Jesus Christ atoned for our sins and that we can repent and be forgiven and we can also forgive others. I love the Gospel!

How I live my faith

Right now in my ward I work with the 8-11 year old boys as a Cub Scout leader. I am in charge of running a monthly meeting with the boys and their families where we work on cub scout requirements, have skits, activities, and of course refreshments. In the summertime I go to day camp with the boys. Highlights of the year are having a birthday party for scouting and the pinewood derby, a race where the boys carve and decorate wooden cars and send them down a track in our church building.

Why is family so important to Mormons?

Becky
We believe that family relationships do not end with death, but are eternal. And by following God's plan for us, we can live worthy to be with our families forever. So, naturally, knowing that we are in for the long haul, nurturing our families is pretty important to us. Show more Show less
