Hi I'm Royce

I'm from Jamaica, I'm an MBA student who loves music and playing the piano, happily married and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm very easy going. I love music, playing the piano, and hanging out with my family and friends. Presently in grad school finishing up my MBA and I have a very busy schedule. But I'm loving it!!!

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a mormon because it gives me the greatest and most awesome feelings in the world. The teachings of the church bring my closer to the savior and helps me to be happy in this life. It also gives me great hope for the life to come. I was born in the church, but through growing up in the church and going through the different classes (primary, sunday school, seminary etc) I gained a testimony of my own. Its something that I can never deny. I've always been around, and I'll continue to be a mormon because of the joy that it brings to my life. Families can be together forever....

How I live my faith

I play the piano for church. I help to organize different events and I usually work with the young men and young women (ages 12-18). My greatest joy though is serving on the choir and helping to create beautiful music.

Are there restrictions based on race or color concerning who can join The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and have the priesthood?

Royce
No there are no restrictions. During the early days of the church there were restrictions on who could receive the priesthood. This principle is not new as there are many cases in the bible in which the authority was limited to persons from a specific tribe or lineage. In the later years however, the Lord decreed that the priesthood could be given to all, regardless of race and colour. This was indeed a great blessing. Show more Show less
