Hi I'm Kristi

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a busy mom of five children. They are actually busier than I am; I just try to keep up. My husband and I have been married for 21 years and feel like we're hitting our stride.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was reading in the New Testament about Jesus teaching the elders in the temple when he was a youth, I felt the Holy Spirit so strongly. The words "about my father's business" struck me. His mission was so clearly laid out. What was my mission? I decided it was to become the person my Heavenly Father wanted me to be. I needed to learn about the gospel and obey its precepts. That journey is one of a lifetime of conversion. Everyday I am trying to become that better person.

How I live my faith

I have the opportunity to work with the youth in my community. I have accepted an assignment to work with the young women within the Church. I also volunteer to play the piano for the local high school choir. Being involved with youth makes me feel young, but it really helps me be available to listen. The world is sometimes a difficult place for young women. I want to be a support and a lifeline so they can meet life's challenges.

What are Mormon church services like? Are visitors allowed at church meetings? Can I attend church?

Church services are open to all visitors. Investigators are always welcome and we try our best to answer every question. Our Sunday worship services include partaking of the sacrament, hearing lay speakers from the congregation, and participating in scripture study. You will hear discussions of the Bible, as well as the Book of Mormon. We do not care how you are dressed; just come as you are. Show more Show less
