Hi I'm Wendi

I'm a vegetarian. I have a PhD. I'm a stay-at-home mom. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have four little ones 5 and under, so I spend my days playing and cleaning and teaching and generally having a great time. I love to read, especially biographies. I have a passion for humanitarian work and genealogy. My husband says that I'm hesitant to throw anything away. :) I love being with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents are both converts to the church so I grew up learning the gospel of Jesus Christ at home. I remember praying as a child as a very natural expression of my faith in and love for my Heavenly Father. He was always there to help me with my little kid concerns and is always there to help me with my grown up concerns now. Still, there comes a time in every person's life where they ask themselves, "Do I really believe all this? Is this the way I want to spend my life? Is this what I want to teach my children?" I made a conscious decision to live the teachings of Jesus Christ and it has brought amazing happiness. As to why I should be a Mormon and not a Christian of another faith, that comes from reading the Book of Mormon. I love the scriptures and this particular book of scripture not only brings me closer to Jesus Christ but opens my mind and heart to the Holy Spirit. More than that, I know that it was inspired of God, a true book.

How I live my faith

I go to church to feel the Spirit of the Lord and renew my covenants with Him but also to help and lift others. I look for opportunities to serve and love others throughout the week. Basically, I try to love God and love others.
