Hi I'm Andrew

Grew up in Florida and I'm mormon.

About Me

My name is Andrew and I am a college student. I am political science and psychology major. I also enjoy subjects such as American History and Economics. Some of my hobbies include football and basketball. I am a huge college football and high school football fan. I also enjoy college basketball.I enjoy spending to with my family and my beautiful fiance.

Why I am a Mormon

Many people who are not members of my church have asked why do you go to that church? I have recieved questions about how mormons cant drink or smoke or how can I give up my Sunday or why did I leave school to go on a mission? There are many different answers you can give to those questions but the most simple answer is because I love my Savior. I grew up as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter- Day Saints but I still had to find a testimony for myself. Growing up, our family had daily family prayer and were active in our ward. However after my freshman year of high school my life changed forever. Just a few days after the school year ended, my mother became very ill and was suffering from a severe migrane and sinus infection symptoms. The pain lasted for about two days getting worse and worse. She was taken to a local walk in clinic then rushed to the local hospital because local medical professionals feared she was having a stroke. We found out that my mom had suffered  a brain aneurysm and stroke. I spent the remainder of my summer watching my mother struggle to brush her hair, eat with a spoon, and other routine activities. That summer was the first time I had a chance to read the Book of Mormon while my mom was sleeping. It was during this summer that a foundation of my testimony was formed. I did not understand all the stories or all the meanings and I am certainly not a scholar. But I knew how I felt and it was a start to a growing testimony. Before that moment and since then I have had many faith building experiences which have blessed my life and still continue to bless my life. I'm Mormon because I love my Savior and I feel its the best way I can connect with him and feel of his love and express my faith in him.

How I live my faith

I currently live my faith by being an example to those around me. I try to be Christ-like in all that I do. For example, lend a helping hand for a move for a friend, help clean the local church building, or participate in temple worship in Orlando, FL. I am currently a home teacher where I am assigned to visit other members of our congregation (generally referred to as wards) and see how they are doing, deliver a spiritual message, and see if they need help with anything.
