Hi I'm Matt

I'm a dentist and I'm grateful to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, the "Mormons."

About Me

I grew up in California, but have enjoyed living in Idaho, Utah, Nebraska, Massachusetts, Germany, and New York since moving away for college. After graduating from dental school, I was in the Army for 4 years and spent most of 2007 in Iraq. I have been married to my amazing wife for 13 years now and we have three wonderful children ages 2, 7 and 10.

Why I am a Mormon

Plain and simple, being a Mormon makes me happy. It helps me strengthen my relationship to my savior, Jesus Christ. It helps me be a better husband and father. It gives me hope in a world that is often filled with darkness. At some point, every person searches for answers to life's great questions: Who am I, Where did I come from, and What is the purpose of life. I have found answers to these questions as I have studied and learned the restored gospel of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I work wtih the young men ages 12-18 in the church in my area. I also have the opportunity to visit a few members of my congregation each month to share a gospel message and help them when they need it. Most of all, I love to talk to people about the joy that living the gospel brings me.

What is faith?

Faith is more than just believing in something. Faith is a belief so strong that it causes someone to do something. When we have faith in God and Jesus Christ, it should cause us to live our lives differently and better than we did yesterday or the day before. Faith requires action! Show more Show less
