Hi I'm Dave

I enjoy spending time with my family, work as a financial professional, sports, music and community service. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I have been married since 2003 to the love of my life. We have 2 wonderful children. A 6 yr old girl and a 4 yr old boy. I graduated with a bachelor's degree in Accounting and have been working in this field since 2006. First as a staff accountant for a family company and most recently as a Financial Accountant for a $5 billion global manufacturing company. I am currently in a Master's of Business Administration program and enjoy learning about all the in's and out's of how to run a successful organization. In the community I serve as a ward financial clerk and a stake auditor. I have also enjoyed teaching and delivering meals on wheels for several years. In my spare time I enjoy a lot of different things: Spending time with my family, outdoor recreation, golfing, basketball, biking, swimming, playing guitar, playing piano, reading good books, watching movies, listening to music and watching sporting events.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in a family that went to church every week and participated in the various programs of the church. Since childhood I have always felt good going to church. Living by all the standards of the church has not always been easy or popular but I feel that by striving to do so has kept me out of a lot of potentially harmful situations that I could have found myself in, particularly as a teenager. Living by the standards of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints brings me great peace, health and spritual strength in a world that is increasingly negative and full of harmful influences.

How I live my faith

Being a financial clerk has been a truly rewarding and humbling experience. I have seen first hand many times, how generous people have gone above and beyond what is asked of them to bless the lives of others who are going through financial difficulties. The church certainly watches out for and assists others in need of assistance. As a stake Auditor I get the opportunity to meet with dedicated and honest men that oversee the resources of their wards. This has given me a greater understanding and respect for how the resources of the church are used in blessing the lives of others.

Are Mormons Christians?

We are Christians in every way. Jesus Christ is the center of our teachings, beliefs, lifestyle and faith. He is the Savior of the world. He is the Son of God. He Suffered for the sins and imperfections of all mankind. It is by Jesus Christ and only through His Atonement that you and I can return to our heavenly home after this mortal life comes to an end. The Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ and teaches of the reality of His life, His purpose and that He lives today. Jesus Christ set the example for each of us to pattern our lives after. I feel His love in my life, and I love Him. Show more Show less
