Hi I'm Adam

I 'm married, have 4 children,own a business, love to whitewater kayak and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in southern California close to the ocean. I've been playing and surfing in the ocean since I was a little kid. My work has taken me to Northen California inland away from the coast but I live near a river and have found new watersports to challenge and entertain myself with.

Why I am a Mormon

I joined the Church at the age of 14 because of the relationships I shared with some LDS guys in my neighborhood that I surfed with. We had a lot of good fun. Soon we all went our seperate ways and I stopped attending. When I was 19 and in college I realized something was missing I attended some other Church groups and social orginaizations but none gave me the feeling and anwsers I was looking for. I decided I wanted to start attending the LDS Church again this time to have a closer relationship with my Savior Jesus Christ not just for the friends. I've had strong spiritual experiences and found answers to my questions as I've studied the Gospel. I know in my heart that this is work of the Lord and this Church that bares the name of his son, Jesus Christ is his Church restored in its fullness to provide salvation for us in these Latter days.

How I live my faith

I feel like I have been given so much from my Father in Heaven, I always make myself available to give service to others. It make me feel good to help others, I know that I am doing what the Lord would want me to do and maybe in a little way I can make the world a better place. I've had numerous responsibilities in the Church and all have blessed my life. For the last few years I've been giving service as the Bishop of our congregation (Ward). It's a challenging responsibility but I feel like I'm making a positive impact in the lives of the people I work wwith and that is very rewarding, it also helps me feel close the the Lord and I need that to help me in these challenging times.
