Hi I'm Karla
I'm a mom who has traveled the world. I'm a Mormon.
About Me
I grew up in Wyoming with a loving and supportive family. I love reading, writing and teaching online classes for a state college. When I was young I had two dreams, to be a mom and travel the world. I have seen my dreams turn into reality, although in ways I did not anticipate.
Why I am a Mormon
I am a Mormon because I have a deep abiding love for Jesus Christ. I love the Savior and know that his sacrifice allows me to be saved. I also love my family and I know that we can be together forever. I am not just a member of a church, having the gospel allows me to develop a deeper relationship with Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. In times of joy and sorrow I have found the gospel is there for me, it gives me answers to my deepest questions.
How I live my faith
I live my faith everyday. Part of being a member of this church means serving others. I love to visit my neighbors and support them when they need it. Sometimes that means watching kids or dropping off meals to new moms. It can also mean a phone call or volunteering to organize an event. I currently serve as a teacher in our congregation. I was recently asked to teach the women in our ward once a month. It is wonderful to teach about faith, repentance and living a Christlike life. Before being asked to teach adults I was teaching children Sunday school. It is amazing to see the light of Christ in a child's eyes as I taught them about the Savior. I always feel like the person that is most blessed by serving is the person giving their time.
