Hi I'm Bryn

I grew up and still live in Southern California. I am a wife and mother of 4 and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife and mother of 4. I love being with my family. We have an incredibly busy schedule between school, work, and everyone's activities and sports. When we have free time, I love to go hiking, camping, going to the beach, riding bikes; basically, anything outdoors.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the Mormon church. Both of my parents are members and were missionaries in their 20's. As a child, I went to church because my parents took me, but I had to learn of the truthfulness of the Gospel for myself and become converted. I always believed that the church was true. I always believed that the Book of Mormon was true. I remember one Sunday School lesson I had when I was about 12 years old. My teacher said that we should pray and ask Heavenly Father if the Book of Mormon was true, even if we already thought it was true. I kind of thought that I didn't need to do this because I already had a testimony of that wonderful book, but, I heeded the advice of my teacher and prayed. I simply asked Heavenly Father if the Book was true. When I was done praying, I didn't feel any different; I didn't feel any confirmation from the Holy Ghost. This didn't bother me, however, because I thought that I already had a testimony. A few weeks later, as I was reading from the scriptures, I had this overwhelming feeling come over me; a feeling of warmth, peace and happiness, and I knew at that moment that my prayer had been answered, that the Book of Mormon was indeed true, that Jesus Christ lived and that he loves me. Tears ran down my face as I thanked Heavenly Father for the sweet experience I had just had.

How I live my faith

I have the privilege of working with the teenage girls at church. We have lessons on Sunday for just the girls. The lesson subjects range from Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ, to improving family relationships, to standards and morality. We also have an activity one night a week. I love being able to serve the girls. They are so much fun to be around. They are such sweet spirits and have beautiful testimonies. One night a week, my family gathers together for a special night called Family Home Evening. It's a time when we can be together without any distractions. It's a time to council together, to have fun, to grow closer to each other. I treasure these days. It doesn't always run smoothly. There are many nights when my kids don't seem to get along and are bickering with each other but I know that this weekly tradition will bring us closer together.
