Hi I'm Kaylee

I'm a Mom and Wife. I love Learning. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been married to my wonderful husband for about 6 years. We have three kids. A son that is 4, and two daughters-ages 2 and 1. My husband is in Physician Assistant School while I hold down the fort at home, and I love the gospel of Jesus Christ with all my heart!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a very actively involved LDS family. I have had to come to find of it's truthfulness for myself though. As I've grown, I've had hard things happen, but through prayer and reading the scriptures I have come to know my Heavenly Father and His Son Jesus Christ more and more personally. I sometimes forget that I have them to rely on and try to face trials and hard times in life on my own; that is so hard. We need Them! They want to help us and I know that. That is why I am a member of this church! Because I know that Jesus Christ lives and that He loves me and knows MY name. I know He would have died for me, even if I were the only person on earth that needed His Atonement. He knows everything I am going through! And while my testimony is my most precious possession, I know that we also need to make covenants with God and perform ordinances so that we can live with Him FOREVER. I'm so grateful to have the Priesthood restored so I can have those ordinances done and make covenants with my Father in Heaven-which is why we have temples all over the earth. That way, everyone can have the opportunity who wants to go to the temple and make those sacred promises with God. For me, life is bearable and even happy because of my Savior, Jesus Christ and my Father in Heaven. They love us and want what is best for us! As I keep my covenants, I feel myself get closer to Them and feel Their power helping me in my life!

How I live my faith

My favorite way to live my faith is to smile! I love smiling and trying to brighten people's days. I know that when I'm letting the Light of Christ shine through me, other's can see it and can come to know Him! I also go to church meetings every Sunday and I try my best to keep the commandments that God has given us. I'm not perfect, but I'm trying. :) I am a Primary teacher with my husband in our congregation, which means we teach one of the children's classes. Right now we teach the 11 turning 12 year olds, and we love it.

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

As Mormons, we definitely do not worship Joseph Smith. Joseph Smith is a very respected Prophet of God that helped in tremendous ways to get the fullness of the gospel of Christ back onto the earth. We believe him to be a Prophet and mouthpiece of God, and we love him and would all like to thank him personally for what he has done, but we do not worship him. We worship our God and our Savior Jesus Christ. Show more Show less

What is the First Vision?

The "First Vision" is when our prophet Joseph Smith, as a fourteen year old boy went to a grove to pray, in 1820. He was asking God, through prayer, which church was true and which one he should join. As he prayed, God and His Son, Jesus Christ appeared unto Joseph Smith in that grove and told him that none of the churches on the earth were true, and that he should join none of them. They told him that the church of Jesus Christ had been taken from the earth due to wickedness. This vision was the start of Joseph Smith helping God to restore Christ's true church back onto this earth. I know this to be true, because I have prayed about it and you can too! Show more Show less
