Hi I'm Matt

I'm a Mormon and grateful to know our father in heaven on a personal level. To do whatever I can to help and serve him.

About Me

My wife and I have four children and we reside in Utah. I enjoy being in the mountains and spending time in the outdoors.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church and attended faithfully until my teen years. I begin to make some foolish decisions that lead to a life of unhappiness, misery and a constant struggle. I then found my way back to the church and I gained my testimony. I am very grateful for the love and patience that has been given to me by our father in heaven.

How I live my faith

I work with the younger boy scouts as a calling in the ward. I try to live my faith through service. Trying to accomplish an act of service each day helps me to over come my weaknesses and to be closer to our father in heaven.

What is a “testimony” that Mormons speak of?

In the LDS church we are taught to build our personal relationship with our father in heaven and his son Jesus Christ. Leaders in the church are there to assist or to give you ideas to become closer to our father in heaven. A testimony is your personal statement or declaration of your beliefs. Once a month we have a testimony meeting where members can stand and bear their testimonies. This is typically the first Sunday of each month. By bearing your testimony publicly your testimony grows and you may be able to help others as you do so. I would strongly encourage investigators to attend one of these meetings.
