Hi I'm Brent Yergensen

I'm a professor and lover of arts and sports. Most importantly, I'm a father and husband.

About Me

I am a father, husband, and teacher.

Why I am a Mormon

Within each person is a desire to know the mysteries of the universe. Religion tells us that within those far-reaching mysteries is a being who is aware of our circumstances. As a result of the restoration of the gospel of Jesus Christ through the prophet Joseph Smith, we get articulate details of who we were before we came to earth, why we are here, and what we must do here in order to reach the happiest existence when we die. I am a Mormon because of the structure and insights regarding the nature and purpose of the cosmos and our role in it, which become available to us when we study ancient and modern scripture, the latter of which is available through living prophets.

How I live my faith

The best way to live your faith is in your little behaviors at home. Whether it be in playing with children or listening to my wife tell me about her day, the best way to live your faith is to behave the way the Savior did in his daily interactions.

What do Mormons believe about family?

Brent Yergensen
The family is the central unit of God's plan for his children. The necessity of marriage and the raising of children is central to happiness in life as well as after death. Show more Show less
