Hi I'm Kylie

I am a native Californian, I love photography, music, and long walks on the beach, I live life to the fullest and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Southern California and am currently serving as a missionary. I have a great family and great friends. My life before serving a mission involved a lot of studying, laughing, and playing. I think life should be lived not watched. I am extremely grateful to my grandparents who joined the church in their early 20s and the opportunity to give back the love I have felt from the Lord by serving a mission. I love the gospel of Jesus Christ, it has brought me the most happiness I have ever known. Thus, I am a genuinely happy person all the time! Life is grand! Why not be happy!? If I could I would spend most of my days on a beach, rain or shine it is one of my favourite places in the world. I think everyone whould figure out what makes them chill and seek to bring greater peace to their lives by doing that. Ya know what? Through the Atonement of Jesus Christ we can have that ever lasting peace- it is like sitting on the beach each and every day when we have Christ in our life. :]

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I refuse to believe I will never see my loved ones again, the Plan of Happiness is a founding stone in my testimony. I know that the joy the gospel brings is greater and stronger than anything else I have ever known or seen. That happiness is everlasting, compared to worldly things that can be so fleeting. I have seen God's hand in my life, He is our Eternal Father and HE loves us. He has answered so many of my prayers and come to my aid so many times, I could never deny it. There are soo many reasons why I believe. I know that it's true! Jospeh Smith did see God and Jesus Christ and thus, the priesthood authority of God, or the right to act in His name, has been restored! What a great blessing that is to my life!

How I live my faith

I love working with activities and getting people excited to attend events. In the Young Single Adults Program I worked with getting the word out about dances, etc. I love reaching out to people and getting them to have fun at events! I think the best way to live what I believe is by example. I am not perfect but I try my best to be like my Saviour, Jesus Christ. It just takes one step at a time! I, also strive to live my faith by doing the simple things. If nothing else, I have learned that when we keep prayers and scripture study as a daily event in our lives and do our best to keep god's commandments we are blessed incredibly. This doesn't mean that life is easy for me, it just means that when the storms come I know what my rock is, what my foundation is. It is Christ and if we build on Him we can not fail!

Why do Mormons believe in the Bible?

We believe in the Bible as a testament of Jesus Christ. The Old Testament is a history of the prophets, men given the priesthood authority of God to act in God's name who teach and tesify of Jesus Christ and lead and direct the people in their day, written prior to the birth of Christ. The New Testament consists of four books which speak of the life and events of Jesus Christ and the epistles of the apostles. The Bible is sooo important for it teaches of Christ in ancient Jerusalem and has a record of His life! Show more Show less
