Hi I'm Zach

I'm from North Carolina, love to play sports, have a passion for music, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm finishing up my studies at UNC-Chapel Hill and I love to watch my Tarheels play basketball. I converted to Mormonism during my Freshman year of college and I have decided to graduate a year early in order to serve the Lord as a missionary. I really enjoy playing sports, especially ultimate frisbee. I have a passion for music and have played the trombone for years, while also playing the guitar in my spare time. Currently, I am serving as a full-time Missionary.

Why I am a Mormon

All through high school my best friends were Mormons. When my closest friend decided to leave to serve a mission, he invited me to come to church with him. When I attended, I felt something so strong that I hadn't felt at church before, and I was a lifelong member of another Christian faith. Once I got back to school I sought out the missionaries and just asked them some basic questions wanting more information. When I attended church at school, I felt strongly that this was the right church for me. In essence, I am Mormon because of the Spirit that I felt and feel when I attend Sacrament meetings.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by attending church meetings every Sunday. I also share my faith with others and I am very open about my conversion and why I am a Mormon. I live my faith to service in and outside of the Church. In living my faith it is integral to serve those whom I know as well as people whom I do not.

What is a “testimony” that Mormons speak of?

A testimony is a person's personal witness of truth. For instance, I know that that Christ lives, I know that this church is true. That is my testimony. A testimony is given as a spiritual witness by the Holy Ghost. Each individual has their own testimony, which has been influenced by their experiences and promptings of the Holy Ghost. A testimony is a simple witness of truth and can grow by the witness of the Holy Ghost. Show more Show less
