Hi I'm Jim

I'm an operations manager by trade and a master woodworker. I also love to whittle. I love my wife and family and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have spent a lifetime working with wood, making furniture and beautiful home funishings. I love the smells and sounds of a woodshop. I also have an overactive sense of order. As a production manager, I am compelled to make things better, make things more organized. I love outdoor sports, I have paid good money to jump out of a perfectly good airplane, I enjoy a quiet round of golf. I have started running late in life and enjoy the benefits of running more then the running itself.

Why I am a Mormon

My mother when she was 13 years old, with a friend decided that they wanted to find a church to go to. they lived in northern california at the time and they decided to start visiting local churches. The first one they entered was the Mormon church, and it was the only one they entered after that. My Father joined the church about a year and a half after he married my mother. So I was raised a mormon. The reason I am still a mormom is because it makes me happy. Aside from the fact that I have a strong testimony of the church and know it to be true, I can think of no other way of life that would make me more happy then to live as mormons live. There is a sense of community and mutual love and respect for each other and all mankind that I find uplifting and right. Mormons have a deeper sense of hope and faith then the average person and I find that to be a positive influence in my life and the life of my family. I have a deep and abiding testimony of the divinity of the Savior Jesus Christ and the miracle of the Atonement. I Know through personal prayer and experiences that Joseph Smith in reality was visited by God the Father and His Son Jesus Christ. That is the main reason I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

This is a hard question to answer but when I think about it, the only response that seems to fit is...The best I can! Living my religion is a very personal thing and trying to explain that in word form could easily come off sounding self serving. I do try to be honest in all I do. I try to live my religion Monday through Saturday as well as Sunday. I try to care about other human beings the way I know the Savior did. I try and treat my family with respect and love. I try and continue to develope my personal relationship with my Father in Heaven and my Savior Jesus Christ. If at the end of my life someone where to pay me a compliment....I would hope they could say "Jim was a Christ like person."
