Hi I'm Mike

I'm a family man. I'm moderately liberal. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have a beautiful, caring wife and three incredible children. I'm an Agile Coach with a passion for making people's lives better. I'm a left-leaning moderate who strives to show Christian tolerance and compassion to all those around me.

Why I am a Mormon

I've always known that the gospel of Jesus Christ as understood by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is true. And the more I study it, the more true it becomes. Logically, it just makes sense. Spiritually, it drives me to be more like my Savior unlike any other belief can. Emotionally, it keeps me balanced and helps me be a better husband and father. I've grown up defending my faith to those who do not understand it, and I devoted 2 years of my life to teaching by the Spirit what I know to be true to others, helping them better know their Savior.

How I live my faith

I attend my Sunday Church meetings and strive to live what I believe 7 days a week. I'm the leader of my congregation's Men's group. I do my best to promote brotherhood; organize and participate in service projects; and help teach and learn from others how to be a more Christlike husband, father, and citizen. I visit 1-2 families a week in their homes to fellowship with them and understand their needs in hopes of finding opportunities to marshal our resources to help those in need. I look for opportunities to share what I believe with those around me. I try not to be pushy with it, and I strive to make it clear that I only share my beliefs with those I care about because I truly believe it will bring blessings into their lives.

Do Mormons regard the Bible as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

Mike
We believe that, at the time the revelations were received and written, the writings that were later compiled into what we know as the Bible were 100% true revelations from God. The Bible as it exists today still contains the gospel of Jesus Christ, but, due to mistranslations and political decisions made centuries ago, some basic truths have been lost from the Bible. That is one of many reasons we find the Book of Mormon and modern revelation so vital. Show more Show less
