Hi I'm Cindy

I love listening, learning and laughing. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a sister, a friend, and a teammate. I love to read, write, mountain bike and hike. I have the fun opportunity of competing in soccer at the collegiate level. I have an unquenchable thirst for knowledge. I love good, healthy discussion and consider it a great privilege to go to school. I play the piano, and I try to play the organ and the guitar. I also love traveling, having water fights, and singing in my car.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Latter-Day Saint because the teachings of Christ's restored gospel resonate with my soul. The gospel gives my life purpose and direction. I know who I am, why I am here, where I am going, and how I am to get there. Living my faith fosters progression and growth as I draw nearer to my Savior. He is the center of my religion and the center of my life. In all reality, Christ is the reason I am Mormon. He is the only way. My faith in Him is what carries me through the hard times and those moments of greatest joy.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by loving and lifting others. I serve in a position that allows me to listen to young single adult women and help them find direction and peace they are seeking. I teach on an individual and a group level in both formal and informal settings. My purpose is to help them strengthen their faith, their righteousness, and their homes by centering their lives on Jesus Christ. Each sister has a unique personality, a special story, and her own specific set of challenges, but the gospel of Jesus Christ answers all of life's questions, regardless of who you are or what your circumstances may be. I encourage the women to serve one another as He did. It is quite incredible to see the added measure of happiness that comes when we forget ourselves and open our hearts to His selfless love.

Do you really believe there is a prophet like Moses alive today?

Yes, I do. If He led His children with prophets in ancient times, why not now? He loves each of us, for He is our Father. He desires us to live righteously so we can return to live with Him, and prophets give us the guidance and direction we need to do so. The prophet is the Lord's mouthpiece on Earth, and I have a testimony that if we will heed his words that we will be happier, better people for it. I have never regretted abiding by the words of a prophet. Show more Show less
