Hi I'm Loren

I'm from Arizona and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm happily married and have 4 beautiful children. I am a registered professional engineer and am a vice president of business development for a regional engineering firm specializing in building performance verification. I enjoy camping, cycling, reading, and crossword puzzles. I have been a member of the church my entire life. The gospelof Jesus Christ is the source of my joy and happiness in my life.

Why I am a Mormon

First and foremost, I'm a Mormon because I have felt the Holy Ghost tell me that this church is true. It is renewed over and over again as I read the scriptures, attend my meetings, and serve in the church. The best thing about the church is that everything is focused on strengthening family relationships. There is no bigger joy in this life than to have a happy family.

How I live my faith

I currently serve in our Young Men scouts organization with the 14 and 15 year olds. I enjoy working with the boys and helping them become the future leaders of our community and church.

Do you really believe there is a prophet like Moses alive today?

Loren
Absolutely. As children of our heavenly father, he provides us with direction specific for our time, just like he did in the time of Moses, Isaiah, and Peter. Through the line of authority restored to the earth by Peter to Joseph Smith, we now have a living prophet today in Thomas S. Monson. Show more Show less

What do Mormons believe about Jesus Christ? Do Mormons believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God?

Loren
We believe that Jesus Christ is the literal son of God and our Savior and Redeemer. He led a perfect life, healed the sick, gave sight to the blind, and taught the gospel. He suffered in Gethsemane to atone for our sins and made repentance possible for us all. He died on Calvary and was resurrected on the third day. Through his resurrection, we will all live again. Through faith, repentance, baptism, receiving the gift of the holy ghost, and following His example, we can return to live with our Father in Heaven together with our family and our loved ones. I know that He lives and that things are true. Show more Show less
