Hi I'm Eric

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a published writer and the CEO of a global market research firm however, most of all I am a husband, father of three with two grandchildren, and a merit badge counselor for the Boy Scouts of America. I love hanging out with my family, strumming on a guitar, hiking in the hills, or just relaxing with my old dog. It's the simple things that bring me joy in life.

Why I am a Mormon

My wife and became Latter-day Saints 21 years ago because we wanted our family to have the clearest road map back to our Heavenly Father through Jesus Christ. We were both strong Catholics - my wife is a former Franciscan nun with a degree in Catholic theology - but we wanted something more in our spiritual lives, a closer relationship with our Savior and a vibrant and active Christian community. We found what we were looking for, an infinitely more, in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

How I live my faith

I live my faith as a Mormon by following the "daily littles" of personal prayer, personal scripture study, family prayer, family scripture study, and attending my Church meetings. I know if our family follows the teachings of Church leaders we will find joy in Jesus Christ and feel the presence of the Holy Ghost. I am the ward gospel doctrine teacher and passionately teach these core principles every Sunday to our ward members and strive to be an example in my everyday life.

Are Mormons Christians?

Eric
I tell people that there are over 33,000 Christian denominations in the world today, but not a single definition of what a Christian is. As Latter-day Saints we worship Jesus Christ as He who was born of the virgin Mary, performed miracles in and around Galilee and Jerusalem, atoned for the sins of the world, was resurrected on the 3rd day, and sits today at the right hand of God. It is this same Jesus that we as Latter-day Saints desire to be disciples of. Is this not what a Christian is? Show more Show less
