Hi I'm Jesse.

I love to create video games as well as play them and I am Mormon.

About Me

I grew up Catholic. My parents made sure I did all the steps. By the age of 13, I stopped going to church. I became agnostic and pressured my friends into denouncing their faiths. I came to believe in eternal darkness or no life after death. Life became pretty depressing. When I was 17, I unknowingly started dating a member of the LDS Church. The topic of religion came up after a few weeks of dating or rather the lack thereof. No matter my reasoning or persuasion, she held true and faithful to her values and beliefs. My heart began to change. She made a change in my life, gave me a Book of Mormon, and invited me to church. After a lot of hesitation on my part, I accepted her invitations. I read and prayed about whether or God existed and had restored His Church on the earth. I remember feeling an overwhelming sense of love, joy, and peace. I was soon baptized into the LDS Church and my life has been happy since then.

Why I am a Mormon

I prayed and asked God if He existed and if this Church was true. I felt an unexplainable sense of happiness that touched my very soul. Now, everyday that I live the teachings of Jesus Christ, I feel a bit of that same joy. I didn't know that life could be so peaceful. Sure there are hard times but when you know of the Love of God and can put everything into that perspective, you realize that you are not alone but loved and watched over.

How I live my faith

I participate in Church callings which are volunteer positions that allow me to serve God's children. I pray to grow closer to Heavenly Father. I enjoy attending the Lord's Temples, where I can contemplate His teachings and identify where I can do better in my life.

How can I know Mormonism is true?

Jesse.
This is simple in theory but difficult in practice. The simple answer is pray. The reason it is difficult is that you have to open your heart and mind. You have to pray with real intent and desire to know the truth. You have to be willing to receive an answer and act upon it. It took a while until I was prepared enough to humble myself before God to truly desire to know and be willing to follow His inspiration. Show more Show less
