Hi I'm LaLoni Maren Lewis Stott

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been married for over 23 years to an amazing man and we have 7 beautiful children together. Our children did not come as quick as we had hoped for so they are spread from age 22 to 4. We are and have been blessed beyond our wildest dreams! We have been blessed with wonderful children who know their Savior and their Father in Heaven. We have been blessed with wonderful neighbors, ward members, and friends who have constantly blessed us with their love and help. We have been the recipients of countless quiet acts of service and I only pray that we can pay it forward. I am the 6th of 12 children and have loved and enjoyed the blessing of being raised in a large family and having loving parents who taught us about a loving Heavenly Father's Plan for us. I LOVE Family History and love my ancestor heritage. I love finding connections where ever I go. I was raised mostly in Arizona but am so grateful to know that even though I am far from home and family, I have TWO great, great, great grandfathers buried hear in Logan, UT - James Henry Martineau and Sanford Porter, Jr. I visit them often and find peace in praying near their graves as I did all through my childhood in Mesa, AZ at the cemetery. I pray they know how grateful I am for their sacrifices and lives that they lived. I love music. I feel the Savior can communicate with us so quickly through music. I long for the day to thank my Heavenly Father personally for his mercy, patience, and never ending love.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I believe our Savior lives and His gospel has been restored from ancient times here in these last days. I have studied the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and found my answer to know of its true message. I am a Mormon because being so has helped me with every aspect of my life and provided me great peace and comfort in a very loud and confusing time. When there have been hard times, I have been able to use what I have learned and KNOW to be true to help guide me and help me through. Our Savior's message is simple - Come unto Me and help others come unto Me.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to be the best person I can be. I try to live as the Savior did while He was here on the earth. I live my faith by praying each morning in gratitude for all that I have been given and dedicate that day to Him and helping His children along the way. I live my faith by trying to be the best mother I can be. I try to teach my children to be loving, respectful, true to their faith, honest, and to have faith in their Savior by my words and my deeds. I have taught them about our Heavenly Father's Plan and how he knows them and loves them and is there for them. I live my faith by trying to be the best friend and wife to my husband. The Savior kept it simple by teaching us to love one another and to treat others as we would want to be treated. I live my faith by studying and learning each day. I live my faith by trying to be the best neighbor and friend I can be. I try to see if there are ways that I can serve and help my fellow brother. I live my faith by honoring my parents. I honor their sacrifice for their children's behalf and realize that they are the reason why I am here and who I am! I owe them more than I can ever repay! I live my faith by honoring my ancestors and their sacrifices for their posterity. I have read and continue to read their journals and have come to know them. I have learned of their faith and their difficulties and how they handled their trials. This has helped me in my own life know how to be overcome challenges. Learning about them has also helped me learn to be grateful for all who have come before me. I live my faith by loving my country and its heritage. I have studied and have come to appreciate those who have sacrificed for our freedom and have laid the foundation for us to build on. I have learned of the good and bad of the past and have learned that it is up to us continue to honor the sacrifice of others by helping our fellow neighbors. It is up to us to make our communities a better place.

How can I know Mormonism is true?

LaLoni Maren Lewis Stott
Free agency is our Heavenly Father's plan. He hears our prayers and answers them. One must pray, as I did, to know for themselves. One should not just follow blindly but should gain there own testimony of the truth. A loving Heavenly Father has provided a way for all to know for themselves. Show more Show less

What blessings can you receive from reading the Book of Mormon, the Bible, and other scriptures?

LaLoni Maren Lewis Stott
The scriptures Bible, Book of Mormon and others help me know of the Savior's words in past days but were meant for me today! I love to hear His guidance and teachings. The Book of Mormon is another testament of our Savior and reading it testifies of the Bible as well. Both books help me understand my Heavenly Father's will. I love them and how they help me make daily decisions. Show more Show less
