Hi I'm Cade

I am a disciple of Jesus Christ. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Right now I am a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I am serving in the Canada, Halifax mission and have spent time in New Brunswick and Newfoundland. Before I left home as a missionary I was accepted to a local university at which I plan to study in preparation for medical school. I have always loved learning whether using a math book in a classroom, or a magnifying glass in the wilderness. I enjoy snowboarding, rock climbing, riding motorcycles, diving, camping and of course spending time with people I love. I appreciate the beautiful earth God has created, the family He has blessed me to grow up in, and I find joy in experiencing these things.

Why I am a Mormon

I am so greatful to my parents for teaching me about God at an early age. They taught me how to pray, and how to read the scriptures. My mom and dad taught me that prayer wasn't just a hoby, but that it is a way to comunicate with our Heavenly Father. The reason why I am a Mormon is because God has answered my prayers as I have asked him for direction. I believe with all of my heart that God loves me enough, and that He cares enough about my life that He does answere prayers, and He does help me to make choices that bring me the greatest blessings and peace in this life. He has blessed me with a calm assurance that He lives, and that Jesus Christ is our Healer and Saviour. He has likewise blessed me with a calm assurance of the truthfulness of the things my parents tuaght me as a child, and of the truthfulness of this church.

How I live my faith

In church I have had the opportunity to be a teacher for several classes of children and young adults. As members of this church we have the opportunity to visit other families within the church to offer support, give service, and teach the gospel within their homes. My teaching partner has been my father, and it has been a great experience to be able to teach with him, and of course learn from him and his example of Christ like service. I do my best to look for opportunities to serve within my community as well, by doing things like visiting the sick, tutoring other students, and volunteering at local schools.

Why do Mormon missionaries proselyte?

I am one of the missionaries for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I can't explain why anybody else would do this, but I can tell you why I have chosen to proselyte as a Mormon missionary. The simplest and most honest answer is that I love God. I know that our Heavenly Father loves all of us, and He wants all of us to be happy. He has a plan of happiness that can bless everyone, a plan that allows us to experience a happiness and peace that will endure for eternity. I have personally experienced this peace in my own life, and also in my family's. I want everyone to be able to experience the same thing, because I know that is what God wants for His children. I am a missionary because I feel this is the best way I can show my love for God. This is a way I can demonstrate my appreciation, by sharing something that means so much to me. Show more Show less

What will the Mormon missionaries talk about when they visit my home?

Our central message is of the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Missionaries will share why Jesus Christ lived and died for us, what blessings come into our lives because of this, what our Savior has asked us to do to receive these blessings, and how we know about these things. The missionaries will share how you can find out these things are true for yourself. The message is simple and beautiful. Show more Show less
