Hi I'm Stephanie G.

I grew up in San Diego, CA, and I am currently serving a full-time mission in New Mexico!

About Me

I love the gospel! It means so much to me in my life! Other than that, I love art! I love making it and seeing what other people create. The beach is also another love of my life. If I could, I would totally be a beach bum - no joke. I also love spending time with my family, especially my younger brother and my nieces and nephews.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church thanks to my mom. My dad wasnt a member when I was growing up, but my mom took me and my brother to church every Sunday, without fail. As I grew up, I was kind of a rebel - okay, not really too rebellious - but just enough for me to really question whether this was the true church. I got my answer through reading the Book of Mormon. Once I had the sincere desire to know for myself, I started praying and reading every night, and paying attention when I went to church. One night, as I was praying, I just knew. I knew this was the truth. I knew there was a God, and not only was he God, He was my Heavenly Father, and He loves me. I knew the Book of Mormon was the word of God. That night I knew I wanted to share this message with the world! I know Jesus Christ is my Savior, and that we have the chance to become free from our sins thanks to Him. I know the Atonement is real, and that we can find true and lasting happiness in this life, and prepare ourselves for the eternities. As a missionary, I've become even more grateful for the gospel, and seeing the difference it is making in the loves of those I am serving confirms my testimony everyday!

How I live my faith

The gospel IS my life! But, before being a missionary, I taught the basic doctrines of the church as a Sunday School class, and went to a Young Single Adult Ward. I loved the activites we had, and loved helping put them together as well as attending. YSA Wards are awesome if you're trying to find friends with good morals who are still your age and know how to have fun without finding it the wrong way.
