Hi I'm Jason

I love sports, especially in the water. I love to read, and I love to sing. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm currently studying biomedical engineering. After I graduate in 2013 I intend to go to medical school. I have 3 brothers and a sister, and we all hope to live near the ocean and near family. I love to surf, wakeboard, and play any sport. Currently soccer is near the top of the list. I also love to read, but won't allow myself any recreational books while I'm at school, because if I did, I would never get anything done. I love to sing by myself and with any of the members of my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have read the Book of Mormon, tested the promise that it gives, and received an answer from God that it is true. At various times in my life I have received witnesses of various strengths. Even though he has told me before, God is always willing to confirm the truthfulness of the gospel if I have doubts. Not only have I received spiritual confirmations, but I have seen the temporal blessings that come from keeping the commandments of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

Every week I attend church when possible. I am currently a teacher helping 18 and 19 year old young men, along with a few women, prepare to serve full time missions for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I often go to activities with other members of our congregation. I am also involved in the Latter-Day Saint Student Association. We do what we can to make others feel welcome at the LDS institute on campus, mostly through fellowship and food. These are separate from the basic principles of living the gospel. Though nowhere near perfect, I strive to keep the commandments, and become a little better each day. Most importantly, I try to love God, and love my neighbor as myself.
