Hi I'm Ann

I am a wife, a mom and a friend. I live in Oregon and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 40, I am married to a wonderful man for 12 years, a step-mother of a 21, 18, 17 year old, mother to a 13 year old and 4 year old. And recently a step-grandma! We love to go camping, enjoying our backyard or just hanging out watching a movie! I grew up as an only child with great parents who adopted me when I was 2 weeks old. It sure isn't being me but because of my faith in Jesus Christ and the plan of salvation, it makes that road and my burdens lighter!

Why I am a Mormon

I learned about the church whent I was almost 15 years old. I was just seaching for something. I was lost (depressed and lonely) and didn't know what this life was all about and why I had to do the things I had to do. I learned that there is a purpose in life. I learned that I have a loving Heavenly Father who loves me and I will never be alone.

How I live my faith

I try to set an example to my family and those around me. I share my testimony on facebook often. I try live up to the way Gods sees me. He knows my potential! I know I am a Child of God and He loves me!

What is the role of the husband and the wife in the family?

Ann
We all have a certain role. Sometimes its the same one and sometimes it changes depending on the family. According to The Family: A Proclamation to the World says, "By divine design, fathers are to preside over their families in love and righteousness and are responsible to provide the necessities of life and protection for their families. Mothers are primarily responsible for the nurture of their children. In these sacred responsibilities, fathers and mothers are obligated to help one another as equal partners. Disability, death, or other circumstances may necessitate individual adaptation. Extended families should lend support when needed." I love the role that my husband has! But more importantly I am grateful for the role I have as a Mother. How blesses am I to be primary nurturer of our children! We are equal partners for sure but we all have our own parts. Sometimes he does everything, sometimes I do and there are times we set in motion and are able to take care of our own roles. Show more Show less
