Hi I'm Thomasina

and I'm a Child of God!!!

About Me

I am a mother of 7 children. I have 3 sons and 4 daughters. My 2nd daughter passed away at 3 months old. I am also a grandmother which is something I love! I like to hike in the mountains, jog, bike, make chocolates, travell and be with my family the most. I love to spend time with my husband.

Why I am a Mormon

Ever since I can remember attending the LDS church I have felt a strong spirit of truth in its teachings. My parents were not always active members of the church, but I always tried to attend its meetings when I could because of the truthfulness of its doctrines. I believe families can be forever through the sealing powers of the priesthood and I wanted that for my own family. I have personally felt the spirit testify to me that Jesus Christ is the redeemer and Savior of the world, that the Book of Mormon is the word of God and that Joseph Smith restored the gospel in these latter days. I am greatful everyday for the gift of testimony that I have obtained and the miracles that have been part of my life because of my membership in Christs church.

How I live my faith

I strive on a daily basis to live my life in accordance to the teachings of our Savior Jesus Christ. Prayer is part of my daily routine as well as scripture study. I presently teach the adult Sunday School Class in our congregation. I have been involved with the youth programs and the cub scout programs in the past that help our youth develop strong leadership skills and moral values.

What do Mormons believe about the Bible? Do they regard it as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

We believe the bible to be the word of God as long as it is translated correctly. As members of the church we study the Old and New Testiments in our Sunday Classes. We quote from the bible in our talks and lessons. Members read the Bible for their own private scripture study and also use it as a teaching tool to help our children learn and grow from the words and experiences of the ancient prophets. Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

We do not worship Joseph Smith, but we hold him in high respect for restoring the gospel of Jesus Christ to the earth. We respect him for his integrity in the face of tribulation. We hold him dear to our hearts as a Prophet of God. Show more Show less
