Hi I'm Mike

I'm an Engineer.

About Me

I am a father of four and enjoy spending time with my wife and family. I enjoy most sports and doing things outdoors such as skiing, boating and riding horses.

Why I am a Mormon

I come from many generations of LDS families. I grew up in the church and have attended regularly all my life. I gained my testimony of the church gradually over the years and it continues to grow as I continue to learn more about the church and Jesus Christ. The Spirit of the Lord has testified to me of the truthfulness of this gospel and I know of the Savior's love for each of us. The church has brought me much happiness in my life and I don't know where I would be without it.

How I live my faith

I attend our local church meetings regularly on Sunday's with my wife and kids. I currently have been called to serve in the Elders Quorum in our ward congregation. In the Elders Quorum we strive to assist in the spiritual and temporal welfare of the other members of our ward. I also spend time teaching my children at home about the gospel and our Savior and try to help them to be good examples to their friends.

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

No all Mormons are not required to serve a mission. It is strongly encouraged for young men to serve at the age of 19 and young women are also given the opportunity to serve at the age of 21 but it is up to each individual to decide if they want to serve or not. No one will force you to serve it is up to you to choose. I chose to serve a mission when I was 19 and it was one of the best decisions I have made in my life. My mission helped to shape who I am today and taught me many valuable lessons. It was also a great opportunity to serve other people and help them to get to know their Savior and the Church of Jesus Christ. Show more Show less
