Hi I'm Bethany

I grew up in the south and can quote movies faster than John Wayne can draw a gun. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in the west, but was raised in Alabama. Sports have always been a passion of mine. I enjoy watching them as well as playing them, especially baseball. Movies have also enthralled me my whole life and you will often find me quoting them in everyday conversation. One of my favorite passtimes is either playing games or watching a good movie with my family. If I could have a wish granted it would be to take a year long vacation with my family and friends, where we would visit every continent and try foods we've never had. I'm currently a at university where I am studying two other things I love. History Teaching and French Teaching! I dream of the day I'll have my own class and pass on my fascination with this wonderful world we live.

Why I am a Mormon

I loved growing up in Alabama not just for their hospitality, but also for their deep faith in God. However, I also saw that many of them were missing many truths that could not be answered at their church. As a mormon I know I have the true and living gospel. This knowledge makes me unimaginably happy. Because of the gospel I know that am a unique daughter of God, who has plan for me. Through that plan I can be with him and family forever. How great is that?!

How I live my faith

I live my life like any other person. I go to school, talk with friends, grocery shop, etc, but I try my hardest to do it in a way that keeps my life in tune with the example Christ gave. I believe one way to do that is through services. I do charity work as often as possible, but just like anybody else I don't have time to do it everyday. So I look for small ways to help somebody like opening a door, starting up a conversation with someone sitting by themselves or even unloading this dishwasher without my roommates reminding me still working on that one. I'm not impervious to sin, but prayer and reading my scriptures everyday keeps me on track. And if I still mess up I know I have the wonderful gift of the atonement. I also am a strong believer in missionary work. I love to answer questions from non-mormons. I feel it is one of the best ways to show my Heavenly Father how grateful I am for the Church. Someday soon I'm planning on serving a mission. I simply cannot wait to preach the gospel full time!
