Hi I'm Todd

I love my family, serving others and enjoying life. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I work at a community bank helping small business owners and individuals with their financial needs. I enjoy giving service in my community with groups like Kiwanis and Rotary. I am an Eagle Scout and love working on pinewood derby cars with my oldest son who is a cub scout. I married my best friend who I met while singing in a student A Capella group at university. We had no idea how exciting the adventure would be! So far we have shared... five cars, four languages, three sons, two continents, two degrees, two countries, one car wreck, one forest fire, one F4 tornado, one category 3 typhoon and one 7.9 earthquake. My wife and I will ask each other, "Are we having fun yet?" Most definitely, YES!

Why I am a Mormon

When I was young I had many friends who had different ethnic and religious backgrounds. When I asked my father why we were members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he said I should find out the way he did and ask my Heavenly Father if the church was true. I took the time to read the Book of Mormon, to pray about its message and to live the gospel. When I did that I came to realize that I already knew this was the true church of Jesus Christ on the earth because the Holy Ghost had convinced me through my thoughts and the feelings of my heart.

How I live my faith

I get to teach an early morning scripture study class with high school sophomores before they go to school and I go to work. It is challenging to find the time to study and prepare lessons every day, but I am so grateful for the experience of watching them learn for themselves about Jesus Christ and his gospel. As they study the scriptures and we ask questions about what they are reading, they have moments of realization and understanding that are wonderful to see. Anyone who thinks today's teenagers don't know much haven't heard some of the deeply profound perspectives my students have shared in class. It strengthens my faith in Jesus Christ to hear how he has blessed them in their lives.
