Hi I'm Rachel

I'm a young wife and mother. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a wife and a mother of two little girls. I studied Japanese in college and really enjoy learning about other countries and cultures. I also love cooking and art.

Why I am a Mormon

I have always known in my heart that God existed and knew that He loved me. I feel closest to Him and my Savior, Jesus Christ, when I am living my life according to the principles taught in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I know that it is the true church because it brings me true peace and joy that I haven't found anywhere else. I have also prayed to know if this church is true and felt an undeniable confirmation that it is. It felt like I was being flooded with happiness.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith in everything I do and center my life on Jesus Christ. In our home we talk about Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ often and about what they would want us to do when we're make decisions, big or small. On Sunday, during church meetings, I have enjoyed playing the hymns on the piano for the congregation to sing to, teaching the 2 and 3 year olds songs and teaching lessons to the women. I also enjoy being assigned several women in my church congregation to visit with and serve in anyway they might need from bringing over a meal when one woman had a baby to stopping to listen when another woman was having a bad day.

What is a ward/stake/branch?

Rachel
"Ward" and "Branch" are terms used in our church to indicate a geographical area. All church members in that area are assigned the same building and time to meet together each Sunday for 3 hours. Visitors are welcome to any of these meetings at anytime. Several Wards combine to form a large area called a "Stake" a Branch is part of a district. "Stakes" meet together twice a year with all of the members. Show more Show less
