Hi I'm Clay

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a law student and a father.

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because I prayed to God to ask if this was the true church.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by helping and being kind to others. If a neighbor needs help carrying furniture up some stairs or a young family needs a place to sit on the train, I will be kind and help.

Why is self-reliance important to Mormons? Why do Mormons talk about emergency preparedness?

Preparedness is a principal that is present in many aspects of our faith. For example we believe that this time on earth is the time to prepare to meet God, which we do by following his commandments. So just as it is important to prepare to meet God after this life, it is important to prepare for events in this life. We never know when emergencies will happen, and being prepared will help us get through many situations with less worry and stress. Having savings, extra food, and clothing when someone loses a job or when a natural disaster occurs will allow a person to have the necessities to continue on with daily life. Once the necessities are covered you can focus on more important things such as finding a job or ensuring the safety of others. Show more Show less
