Hi I'm Kirk

I am a busy husband, university student and musician! I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My family is everything to me. I am so happy to be married to my wife she is amazing! She always uplifts, smiles, works hard and tries to make me happy. I am lucky to have her as a wife. I love to hang out with my brother and sisters and my mom and dad, they are also some of my best friends. We always love to go to a good movie, or just hang out. I'm a University student and am still learning how to do it well the homework is interesting as long as I get enough sleep Which isn't happening since I also work as a CNA at the hospital! I am excited to major in Medical Laboratory Science! I love Biology courses and am on the path to PA school. I've been playing piano since I was six, I've studied a lot of classical music, as well as some modern stuff. My favorite piece to play is Clair de Lune. I'm just starting organ lessons so I can share my talents more at church. We're going to buy a ukelele too! I want to learn the ukelele because it is so relaxing, and with our busy lifestyle, that's exactly what my wife and I want.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have prayed to Heavenly Father in the name of Jesus Christ to please forgive me of my sins, as we are taught in our church. I have felt His forgiveness and love through the Holy Ghost. Because of this I know He is real. I have had the same experience while in his temples. There, I feel Jesus Christ's healing and forgiving power even stronger than anywhere else! We all make mistakes and need Jesus Christ's help to gain forgiveness. The happiness I've found by accepting Jesus Christ into my life is the main reason I am a Mormon! I am grateful for my parents because they taught me the gospel first! They are wonderful examples of Christians and Latter-day Saints. I hope to be a Christlike example for my kids too. As Mormons, we enjoy Jesus Christ's complete gospel! I believe that Christ had to restore these to us. Christ's teachings were on the Earth in their fulness when Jesus Christ and His apostles still lived. The apostles were unable to pass on these pure teachings because the apostles and disciples of Christ were killed and persecuted too quickly and fiercely. Fortunately, God appeared and spoke to Joseph Smith, just about 200 years ago! God revealed to the prophet Joseph those parts of His teachings which were lost anciently. Since then, God has spoken to His prophets and continued to reveal to us what we need to hear from Him today! Today, God's messenger and prophet is Thomas S. Monson. He does tell us those things God wants us to hear. I have prayed to know if this is Christ's gospel and church. He always answers yes! I know that if you pray with an open heart, He will let you know the same thing- this Church is His church! He will bring you happiness if you will consider these things, pray to know, and follow the answers He gives you!

How I live my faith

I read the Bible, Book of Mormon, Doctrine and Covenants and/or the Pearl of Great Price every day to gain inspiration. I pray to know what God would have me do, and then serve my family, friends, church members and others as the Holy Ghost leads me to. My wife is incredible and I need Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ's help to be the kind of husband she deserves. I find that the spirit leads me to be there and listen and try to understand her. I love to take her out on dates; it brings back the spirit of our wedding and dating days! I know Heavenly Father wants me to serve my family and place them first in my life. As members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, we are called by God through His inspired servants to support and help eachother. I play the piano for our choir and we all feel the wonderful Spirit of God as we perform and listen to music at church. I am also called to visit families from our congregation to serve them in whatever way they need; also to share the words of Christ from our living prophets and the scriptures. As I help and teach, I feel that I and the people I serve are both uplifted and inspired. I remember I was driving down the street in the rain, a man on his bike stopped me and asked me if I could help him get some dry clothes and some money since he was temporarily homeless. I did so and felt very warm about it. I know that Heavenly Father wants us to serve His children everywhere.

Can husband and wife be together forever? Do you believe that families will live together in heaven?

Yes. I know this is true because I know Joseph Smith was a true prophet of God. Working toward an eternal family is a major motivation in my life, I am so happy that I can always be with my family! I love them so much. Show more Show less
