Hi I'm Brig

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a medical student and have been married for 4 years to my beautiful wife and the father of an amazing little boy. I enjoy exercising, seeking to improve myself, watching movies and spending time with my friends with physical or intellectual disabilities.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was 15 years old, I was invited to read the Book of Mormon and to pray to know if it was true. That night I started reading the Book of Mormon. It took me months to finish it, but I finally reached the end. As soon as I finished I kneeled down and asked God if the Book of Mormon was true and if this was God's church. I felt warm inside and had an strong feeling of peace. The Holy Ghost witnessed to me that what I was reading was true. From this experience I know that this is the true church. I don't need to rely on someone telling me what the truth is, I can ask God for myself and he can speak to me through his spirit. He lives and loves us. He shows us by teaching us the truth and showing us the way back to Him. Since that experience I have had numerous experiences that confirm to me that I this church is true.

How I live my faith

I serve with the boys from ages 12 to 18 in the church. I really enjoy my time with them in our weekly scouting activities, campouts and church meetings. Apart from that I try to participate in other service for the community that is organized by the church. Currently I am involved in a service called Project Santa. We are getting as many Christmas presents together as we can to give to those in need this Christmas season. My faith is lived each day as I go about my daily routines. No matter where I am I try to live and act as Jesus would. In school I pray for and live worthy of the Holy Ghost to help me to learn as I study the truths from my area of study. Each day I also study the scriptures for one hour so that I can have the spiritual blessings that the scriptures bring into my life.
