Hi I'm Dave

I'm a husband, father of five, a grandfather, an emergency planner and a private pilot. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a nuclear emergency planner and really enjoy my job. I'm very active in my community having served many years on a city council and various boards and commissions. For fun, I'm a private pilot and love flying my airplane all over the United States. I also am an avid bicyclist. I'm a husband and father of five wonderful children and have four awesome grandchildren.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I have come to know as a fact, that my Savior loves and cares for me, and He wrought a perfect life and provided a merciful atoning sacrifice for all of us. I know that our Heavenly Father loves His children so much that He gave us His only begotten, perfect Son. He has a plan of happiness for me, just as He does for you. There is a purpose for each of us in this life, and God is there for us as we follow Him. I converted to this faith because of its truth, and living it makes me and my family happy. I am more confident in who I am and what I can do, less frustrated when I face life challenges, and at peace when I need comfort. This church has changed my life for the better and has provided so many answers and solutions to my life's problems; if it can do it for me and my family, it can do it for you and your family!

How I live my faith

I have served in various capacities in my church that have provided numerous growth opportunities which have brought blessings and have assisted my in being promoted in leadership positions at my job. Within the Church, I have been able to serve as a teacher, Boy Scout leader, a men's group President (quorum leader), a counselor to our Bishop (who leads our local flock known as a Ward), a counselor over a larger young mens organization (known as a Stake), and I currently serve as a councilor to our leader (known as a Stake President) who presides over the local Bishops. I really enjoy serving with such good men who have nothing but pure love for those to whom they serve. I have learned so much and am able to take what I have learned and apply it to leadership positions I hold at work and within the community.
